Event Site Guidelines

In order to

  • ensure efficient and effective use of AISGW listservs
  • eliminate confusion about which activities are AISGW-sponsored
  • comply with new governmental restrictions on using email to promote commercial enterprises

AISGW has created an online calendar at www.aisgw.org where member schools may post information about the events they are sponsoring or co-sponsoring with other organizations. After logging in at www.aisgw.org, member schools can post information about their events. Access to this site will be available to the public. Periodically, AISGW will send reminders to all AISGW listservs about recent postings.

The postings must be school-based, student- or faculty-centered, related to member school professional development, and/or educationally-focused. All events posted by AISGW member schools must have that school’s endorsement. The event site is not to be used to advertise products, services or for other commercial communications. In rare instances and at the discretion of the AISGW staff, events other than those indicated above may be posted. Listings will be removed automatically following the event date, or at the discretion of AISGW.

Some important Q & A’s about the EVENT SITE

Q. Who can post events?

A. All AISGW member schools will be allowed to post. ONE person at each school will beappointed by the Head of School as the official “EVENT POSTER” for that school.

Q. How do we get started using the AISGW EVENT SITE?

A. Once AISGW is given the name of the school’s EVENT POSTER (202-625-9223 or info@aisgw.org), the school’s password will be released to that person.

Q. Who can review the event site?

A. The event site will be easily available to the general public at www.aisgw.org.

Q. What is the cost?

A. There is NO COST for this member service.

Q. How long will the postings remain on the site?

A. Listings will be removed automatically following the event date, or at the discretion of AISGW.

How to post an event on the AISGW Website

  • Step 1: The school communicates the name of the Event Poster to AISGW.
  • Step 2: The Event Poster contacts AISGW to receive a password.
  • Step 3: Log on to www.aisgw.org.
  • Step 4: Click on the “Events Sponsored by AISGW Schools” link in left column of screen.
  • Step 5: To submit an event, click on “Click Here to Submit an Event.”
  • Step 6: You will be directed to the submission page.
  • Step 7: Once you have finished the listing, press the “submit” button.
