The AISGW Board of Trustees is excited to announce the appointment of Amy McNamer as the Association’s next Executive Director.
Amy comes from a family of lawyers and educators. Early in her career, she taught at the Casablanca American School, Morocco, and she has practiced law for over twenty years in the private and public sectors. She worked as an attorney with law firms in San Francisco and Washington for eight years before joining the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in 2004, where she was a Senior Attorney in the Enforcement Division. Since leaving the SEC in 2015, Amy has worked as a volunteer for Compass Pro Bono, assisting non-profit boards with governance issues and strategic alignment matters. Amy holds her BA in European History from Harvard and earned her JD at Georgetown. The Executive Director position is an opportunity that will be well served by her combined interests and experiences in education and law. Amy’s tenure as Executive Director officially begins on July 1, 2018.
The Board is deeply grateful to Dick Jung for leading our Association forward through a critical period of transition, and we look forward to celebrating his many contributions to the Association over his three-year tenure as Executive Director. We will keep you informed about upcoming opportunities to greet Amy and to thank Dick for his leadership and many accomplishments.
