Development Committee meetings too often become update sessions rather than strategic conversations that help move fundraising forward.

Designed for independent school advancement professionals, this interactive workshop will offer practical ways to make Development Committees more useful, action-oriented, and connected to broader Board fundraising engagement. Participants will explore how to strengthen committee structure, improve meeting design, clarify trustee roles, and position the committee to better support both fundraising progress and long-term philanthropic health.

Attendees will leave with fresh ideas, practical tools, and a clearer vision for how to make their Development Committee more effective next year. 

The program will also include opportunities for breakout discussions on timely development topics and conclude with tips and tactics for making the most out of the summer months.
