SPECIAL WORKSHOP FOR DIVISION LEADERS AND HEADS OF SCHOOL

USING A COACHING MINDSET TO LEAD YOUR FACULTY THROUGH UNCERTAINTY

Three integrated, one-hour sessions
Coaching

Leading your faculty has proven to be one of the most difficult challenges of the pandemic. Consider embracing a coaching model as an effective tool to meet this challenge.

The goal of coaching is to increase individual agency for taking action in alignment with school goals and values. This three-part workshop, led by Lorri Palko, Executive Coach and Facilitator of the One Schoolhouse “Building Trust with Faculty” course, will explore the four tenants of a co-active and collaborative approach to coaching employees – listening actively, asking powerful questions, facilitating action, and inviting accountability.  The sessions are timed to allow you to immediately test and implement some of the strategies you learned in the workshop, with the last session offering an opportunity to explore and reflect on how coaching can ensure a successful second semester.

Session 3 -- Tuesday, January 12th, 4-5 PM

This final session will provide an opportunity to discuss observations and answer questions from your initial experiences using the coaching model as a framework for conversations with faculty. We will also explore ideas of how to set the table for the second semester of the year in order to continue to build trusting and empowered relationships with your faculty colleagues.

Note, this is the third of three sessions. You must have registered for the first session to attend subsequent ones.
