An Evening with Rosetta Lee: Diversity Through a Developmental Lens
All AISGW members are invited to join the NPS community as we welcome diversity and inclusivity presenter Rosetta Lee back for an evening that promises to be thought-provoking and engaging. Our faculty enjoyed a workshop with her in September and were impressed by her warmth, humor, and depth of knowledge on diversity and inclusion across all ages and stages of development. A member of the Seattle Girls School faculty, Rosetta has been a diversity speaker and trainer since 2004 and has worked with over 175 K-12 schools, colleges, and universities. She has served for several years on the faculty of the NAIS Diversity Leadership Institute as well as on the NAIS diversity think tank cadre Call to Action. She is a frequent presenter at the NAIS People of Color Conference as well as a trainer/facilitator with the National Coalition Building Institute.
On February 23rd, Rosetta will look at diversity through a developmental lens, focusing particularly on the early childhood and elementary school years. We will make time as well for a Q & A session. There is no fee to attend this event and light refreshments will be served. We do ask that you rsvp here: http://www.nps-dc.org/rosetta-lee . If you are interested but unable to attend, Rosetta will be returning to NPS in July for a week-long diversity institute focused on the work and curriculum of Pre-School- 8th Grade teachers and administrators. Please direct any questions about either event to Director of Studies Tara Montague, firstname.lastname@example.org or (202)552-4265. We hope to see you on February 23rd!
