Location: 8328 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22102-1203
May 19, 2017 – May 19, 2017
The Madeira School Film Festival is accepting film submissions of any genre (fiction, documentary, PSA, music videos, class projects, etc.,) of any length up to 10 minutes, from all schools in the region. Films will be adjudicated by professionals in the industry and compete for cash prizes, as well as certificates of recognition in various categories, including acting. Films must be submitted online at www.madeira.org/filmfestival by April 24 by midnight, and need to be sponsored by an adult from the sending school.
Madeira students look forward to discovering and celebrating films their peers are creating in other schools, and exchanging ideas. Films will be screened at the Madeira School Film Festival event on Friday, May 19, 2017, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
This year, students are not required to attend the event in order to be considered for prizes and certificates of recognition, so we encourage submissions from students who may be too far to attend our event, or who may have a conflict. We hope some student filmmakers will be able to join us, and talk about their films at the event. For full details, visit www.madeira.org/filmfestival.
