Loudoun Country Day School

Loudoun Country Day School is located in Leesburg, Virginia, near the Dulles Greenway for easy access in Northern Virginia. Nestled on 69 acres, with a state-of-the-art gymnasium, 6 tennis courts, playing fields, cross-country course and outdoor garden lab, the school is available to coe-ed students in preschool through eighth grade, with room to expand. Accredited through VAIS (Virginia Association of Independent Schools), LCDS has educated students in the region for over 65 years, beginning its existence in a historic stone building in downtown Leesburg with just 7 students.  Our campus has now grown to a robust community of 300 learners.
Loudoun Country Day School’s philosophy is to educate the whole child with a 21st century focus, which includes a BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) program, beginning in the fourth grade. Lower grades have access to Chromebooks and iPad carts. We have a vibrant middle school and a full-day kindergarten with access to before and after school extended care as well as bus transportation.
Loudoun Country Day School prides itself on a rigorous curriculum, project-based learning, experiential education and a wealth of opportunities to explore the arts, athletics, and world languages. We inspire our students to become lifelong learners, to think critically and creatively, and to lead with courage, compassion and character. We offer a spectrum of summer camps for LCDS students and the greater community. Loudoun Country Day School provides students with an enriching education that serves as a foundation for the opportunities ahead.
