St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School

St. Patrick’s is an independent, coeducational, Episcopal parish day school in the District of Columbia serving 500 students from Nursery (age 3) through Grade 8. St. Patrick’s has more than a half-century tradition of providing a vibrant, challenging, coeducational school environment that balances tradition and innovation in an educational program emphasizing acquisition of essential skills, integration of disciplines, and creative engagement in active learning. It seeks to educate young people who will grow in intellectual and academic competence, personal integrity, openness to change, commitment to service, and confident and ethical involvement in the world. St. Patrick’s graduates move on to a variety of fine independent schools, including Washington-area day schools and boarding schools mostly in the mid-Atlantic or New England. Our Mission: St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School strives to create a diverse learning community of students, teachers, and parents who recognize the infinite value of every participant as a child of God. We are committed to developing character, advancing human understanding, and promoting academic excellence in our students in order to prepare them to live with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
