The 11th annual WISSIT--the Washington International School Summer Institute for Teachers--will take place August 5-9, 2024, at WIS's Primary School campus in north Georgetown (next to Duke Ellington School of the Arts). WISSIT assists educators in creating powerful, enduring learning experiences for all learners; delving into complex topics in engaging and meaningful ways; and raising up young people's voices and fostering civic agency. The arts are at the center of all we do. Highlights of the week are a Day at the Museums, when we spend an entire day on or near the National Mall learning with world-class museum educators; and Art Happenings, immersive experiences exploring the joy of art and art-making.
