2024 Heads Retreat 
       Looking Ahead    

This year’s Retreat will have us “looking ahead” to future opportunities and challenges in independent school leadership. The Retreat will open with a keynote from Georgetown University’s VP for Student affairs Eleanor Dougherty who will share how lessons from post-pandemic adolescent development can inform the purpose of our future work together. Drew Casertano and  Marjo Talbot from Strategic School Leadership will help us do some succession planning, addressing issues that arise in all stages of leadership transitions. Finally, Leadership + Design consultants Crystal Land and Joe Romano will guide us to think like futurists and “hunt for signals” to identify future challenges. We’ll enjoy an opening lunch and dinner at the Salamander Stables on Thursday evening.
