Oakwood School has been serving bright students with mild to moderate learning differences since 1971. Oakwood students are elementary and middle school-aged children (grades 1-8) who may have been diagnosed with a specific learning disability, including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, or Dysgraphia. We are most successful in serving students impacted at a mild or moderate level of severity. Our nurturing elementary school focuses on remediating foundational gaps, while our intentional middle school prepares students to transition to high school and beyond. Oakwood's academic program uses small groups by learning levels in math, reading, and written language to individualize a student's academic progress and achievement. Oakwood students develop independence, self-advocacy, and a love of learning.
