In-House Videos: From Good to Great
Tuesday, September 22, 2020, 1:00 AM - 2:00 PM EDT
Category: AISGW Events

You’re operating in a new world. Campus visits, orientations and tours, distance learning updates, event teasers and more are all happening virtually or in hybrid modes, forcing you to tell the story of your school exclusively on video. And you’re doing most of this work yourself!

Join us for a conversation about video-making best practices that you can use regardless of budget or technology assets. You’ll learn how to take the quality of your videos up a notch and gain tips for bringing your school’s unique mission and community to life on a virtual platform. The session will be led by Patrick Rafferty, owner of RaffertyWeiss Media, who frequently partners with AISGW schools to help them tell their story. Patrick will be joined by Jodie Shoemaker, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Woods Academy, who will share perspectives about doing this work in-house.

This program is for marketing, communications, admissions and advancement teams and anyone else involved in telling your school’s story via video. The session will focus on:

  • The importance of video outreach during these times
  • Best practices for school community members creating in-house videos
  • Tone, style, length, shoot locations
  • How to shoot, including the equipment to use
  • Repurposing existing footage and photographs into new videos
  • Editing options and process ideas for telling your school’s story
  • Stories to tell and potential content areas of focus for the short term
  • Video storage ideas and promotion channel considerations

Cost: $35 per person, to be billed separately after the event.
