Racism

Please join us for this two-part program for Heads of School and other school leaders featuring Martha Haakmat, an experienced educator and former Head of School with a deep understanding of the intersection between school leadership and diversity work.

Part One of the program, focusing on foundational readiness and skill-building, will (1) address the rationale for a strategic approach to racism and DEI, (2) take participants through a self-assessment of awareness and readiness to lead this work, (3) help build a common language of terms and concepts, (4) share strategies and skill-building for managing difficult conversations about race and racism, and (5) provide an opportunity to practice scenarios.

The second session on October 22 will help schools locate where they fall on an anti-racism continuum and set goals and action steps to move towards strategic DEI work and anti-racism in their communities.

This program is for AISGW Heads of School and members of the school leadership team.

Cost for both sessions: $95 per person, to be billed after the event takes place.
