Sustaining Your HeadshipSchool headship has changed dramatically over the last few years, with the pandemic and its surrounding events acting as a catalyst for even more change. In this annual gathering for AISGW school heads, we’ll focus on how to sustain your headship over the long haul. Recognizing the link between a thriving leader and a thriving school, we’ll hear from Ted Fish, coach and consultant to heads of school around the country, about how to strategically and proactively design your success as a head of school. Knowing the importance of the head-board relationship to a school head’s success, Anne-Marie Balzano, a well-regarded expert on school leadership and governance, will lead us in an examination of the new head of school-board paradigm, delving deeply into how boards can support heads in their leadership practice. Both sessions will include opportunities for authentic conversations that are the hallmark of the AISGW Heads’ Retreat. Finally, we’ll conclude with a panel of longstanding AISGW heads who will offer expertise and stories reflecting 100 years of headship. Click here for a detailed agenda. Cost is $385 per person for all conference sessions and meals on the day of the Retreat.
