 Addressing Crystal Ball Questions:
A Research-based Approach to Creating Short-term Enrollment Scenarios
with Long-term Sustainability Strategies in Mind

Enrollment Directors and CFOs are often asked crystal ball questions or to try to predict enrollment and enrollment revenue months and even years into the future – and they are typically held accountable for reaching enrollment and budget goals. But, how can Enrollment Directors and CFO’s plan for the future amidst so much uncertainty today?

In this interactive session, we’ll examine current market data and projected market forecast trends specific to the Greater Washington area as well as frameworks, metrics, benchmarks, and tools that can be adapted and applied to meet your school’s specific forecasting needs. You’ll come away reassured that enrollment and financial forecasting doesn’t actually require a crystal ball but can be addressed by utilizing data, considering various enrollment and tuition possibilities, and creating short-term enrollment scenarios with long-term sustainability strategies in mind.

What to Know About this Program

  • The session will be led by Nikki Butts, a former marketing consultant who has also served as an independent school chief advancement officer responsible for optimizing enrollment, market position and pricing strategy. Click here to read her bio.

  • Recognizing the key partnership between enrollment directors and business managers around forecasting and sustainability, this year we are inviting business managers to join the conversation. Schools are encouraged to come as a team, although admission officers may come without their CFOs and vice versa

  • There will be opportunities for mingling and networking as well as topic-specific breakout discussions

  • A light breakfast will be served
