In partnership with American University, Sidwell Friends School hosts CONNECTDMV's College Conference & Fair for high schoolers and parents. It features local colleges speaking with students, as well as college students from each local university sitting down in small groups with high schoolers to discuss the college experience, and how it might be different for the BIPOC community.

The event includes the following programs and workshops: 1) Admissions — parents and students hear from a panel of admission directors to learn how to navigate the ever-changing admissions landscape;  2) Paying for College — parents learn how to make college affordable through strategies for savings, financial aid, and scholarships; 3) College Crossover — students have the opportunity to connect and speak with college students to get an insider’s perspective about life on their campuses; and 4) College Fair –  students and parents meet with representatives from some of the best local colleges and universities.
